Where Eagles Dare had a massive campaign world wide and not least in the U.S. this version shows the bleak mountain that the adventurers had to scale.

During the 1950's some US films released in the UK suffered from imaginitave campaigns, instead of the evocative Saul Bass art the distributors didn't feel that the Public outside of the US would appreciate the subtlety of Bass and went with a more direct image to advertise the film.

From Russia with Love was the first art work to use the famous arm across chest pose, Freddie Paul conceived the idea with Renato Fratini producing the final art with simple scenes from the film surrounding Bond and the main girl Tatiana Romanova.

This poster was designed for a one off showing of Goldfinger at Fort Knox and had a very low print run.

39 - Thunderball 1965. US One Sheet. Linen Backed Condition A.
The first collaboration of McCarthy and McGinnis for James Bond. McCarthy was the action artist with the wonderful underwater scene and the Chateau Flight, McGinnis was the best artist for figures particularly women.
